Travel insurance is strongly recommended for out of province and out of country participants

Places to stay:  Due to liability issues, we can no longer assist with arranging local accommodations.
But we will provide details about each location so you can make more informed choices.

Accommodations:  Individualized accommodations will be made to ensure meaningful participation for all. In terms of offering "safe space", we insist on a shared learning environment in which we all feel welcome, respected and valued enough to assert and have our boundaries honoured. Safety is unique to all. We refuse to paternalize people by believing we are capable of predicting all of your needs. Discomfort is likely to happen. It's a huge part of embodied learning. So is joy. And compassion. All are compassionately and competently supported to work through, rather than avoid, whatever arises for you.

Accountabilities:  Note that if your wellness is dependent on avoiding all potential triggers or hurt feelings, then this is not the workshop for you. The dirty details of oppression are openly explored. Responsibility for privilege and social capital is necessary. Informed risks are encouraged. Emotions are opportunities for discovery and growth, not a reason to disengage from or shut down the collective process. Disagreements are equitably mitigated.

We thank the University of Calgary's School for Creative and Performing Arts, for providing the studio for the Calgary intensive.
